In this day and age, everyone is busy with a million things to do.  Its almost impossible to keep up!

Which is why its so important to keep your life and business organized.  Meet TaskUp, a simple yet robust Task Management application that can keep your daily “To-Dos” in order.  Similar to  the project management tool Producteev, TaskUp is more focused strictly on doing one thing well…keeping you organized and on track with your daily/weekly/monthly tasks.

The first glance of TaskUp

TaskUp is a web based application. So I didn’t need to download or install anything on my PC.  I just went to the website and signed up for an account. This was all I needed to get started. At a first glance the app seemed simple, flexible yet powerful. The interface is clean and tidy and I had no problems to tag, prioritize and drag & drop tasks into lists.  In short, I was organized in a few seconds.

Why I love TaskUp

The biggest strength of TaskUp is its easy interface.  Even my 8 year old kid could use this. It is so simple. There are some amazing features in it such as setting priorities, tagging, due date and notes. With all those features, it was impossible for me to miss a deadline. In addition, I have found the task lists really helpful. This helped me to organize all my similar tasks in a list quickly and efficiently. Besides that, searching through tasks, due dates and details are also very easy with the instant results of TaskUp.

I found the notification feature of TaskUp also very handy. It automatically sends notifications to me on a daily, weekly or monthly basis and reminds me what else I have left undone.  Besides that, there are unlimited undo’s in TaskUp. So even if I make a mistake, I can always go back in time. This tiny little app also supports Facebook, Google, Paypal, Foursquare and Github. So I don’t need to make any new passwords or accounts as well.

Secured access at any time

Another feature that I really like about TaskUp is that it can be synchronized with the cloud.  So all my tasks and updates can be easily saved without even pressing the saved button. In addition, it is also secured. So far I know that they use bank grade security and also provides client side encryption as well. Although I am not paranoid about confidentiality, I would love to use them if I had some critical information.

Looking forward for more features from TaskUp

Although the current features were all enough for me, I have heard that TaskUp is going to introduce some new features as well.  It will have an Instant Sync feature very soon. So, hopefully I will be able to synchronize all my tasks in my iPad, iPhone or Mac when I will make any changes in the TaskUp website. In addition, I am also expecting to get Group Collaboration as well. So, I can’t wait more for all those features.

Cons of TaskUp

I have only one thing as a con for TaskUp.  The free version is good but it can only save 200 tasks. While the unlimited plan is priced at US$ 25 per year the business version costs US$ 99.99, there is a free trial version for unlimited package. But it could have been great to have a free trial version for the business package as well.

Overall rating

In overall, I would rate this app 9 out of ten. This is a must use and really handy tool for everyone.  Try it yourself and you won’t disagree with me.
